Best Soups in Denver!

#1 O Lien Kitchen

O Lien Kitchen is a Hue restaurant and hands down has the BEST Vietnamese cuisine in the Denver metro area.

They specialize in a variety of dishes, including Pho, Banh Canh, Bun Bo Hue, and Bun Rieu. Each of their broths is so balanced and delicious. You can’t go wrong with any of the options.

Address781 S Federal Blvd B, Denver, CO 80219

@ilovebowljobs O Lien Kitchen is one of the best spots to get phở in Denver! 🍜 Take advantage of their happy hour special and get 15% off from 4pm to close! 🤩 Thanks for taking me @TC🥰 ##pholover##denverrestaurant##denverfoodscene##noodlereview##denverfoodie##askmewheretoeat##alexeats##alexapproved##ilovebowljobs ♬ original sound – I Love Bowl Jobs 🍜

#2 Achar Soup from Nepali Spice (located in Mango House)

I was delighted to discover this amazing dumpling soup from Nepali Spice!

Achar is fermented indian pickles. It has a tangy, salty, and spicy profile, and I LOVE eating it with curries or white rice.

Nepali Spice makes a delicious Achar soup with handmade dumplings. I also heard their Thupka (noodle soup) is good and will have to try it next time.

They are located inside the Mango House refugee community center in their International Food Hall, which has many other hidden gems!

Address: 10180 E Colfax Ave, Aurora, CO 80010 (enter from behind the building)

@ilovebowljobs HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Mango House food court in Denver! 🥭🏠🤯 Mango House is a refugee community center that also happens to have an international food hall. 🤯 Every restaurant we tried was unique and felt like a hidden gem! 💎😮‍💨 We tried THREE restaurants!@Urban Burma 🇲🇲 @509 Cuisine 🇭🇹 @nepalispice🇳🇵 I can’t wait to go back! 😋😋😋 #mangohouse #foodhall #denverrestaurants #denverfoodscene #denverfoodie #denverfoodblogger #denverfood ♬ original sound – I Love Bowl Jobs 🍜

#3 Lao Soup from Woody’s Wings and Things

Woody’s Wings and Things is a Southeast Asian restaurant that serves Vietnamese, Cambodian, Lao, and Thai food. The decor is not much, slightly outdated, but the prices and massive selection of food are the real treasure here.

While their Hu Tieu and crispy wings are delicious, the standout dish to me was their Lao Soup. It’s a fragrant soup that is tangy yet savory. You can order it with intestines and liver or with pork meat.

Address: 6817 Lowell Blvd, Westminster, CO 80221

@ilovebowljobs DENVER ➡️ Y’all need to try LAO SOUP!🍲🇱🇦 It’s my first time trying Tom Keung Nai and I am hooked. It tastes like Vietnamese tamarind soup (canh chua) except with more flavor and aromatics. The tangy and savory combo is 🤤🤤🤤 You can eat it alone or with rice. Woody’s Wings and Things has a comically massive menu and the prices are outdated so make sure to get prices before you order. We ordered enough food for three people and everything cost $72! I’ll be releasing a part 2 and 3 (bc it was that good!!!!) so stay tuned! 🤗 #laofood #denverrestaurant #denverfood #denverfoodscene #denverfoodie #laosoup #tomkeungnai #denverblogger ♬ original sound – I Love Bowl Jobs 🍜

#4 Red Pozole from Adelitas and Green Pozole from La Doña

Adelitas and La Doña are sister restaurants, and they both offer different types of pozole. Both are DELICIOUS!

I’m not sure what their secret is, but they manage to make their pozole super creamy and thick. It’s sooo good. I tell everyone to go here for Pozole.

Visit Adelitas at either their South Broadway or Edgewater Marketplace locations.

#5 RC Green Chile from Cherry Cricket

There are two types of green chile in Denver: the soup slurping and then smothering kind.

Cherry Cricket makes my favorite green chile soup in Denver! It’s peppery, has tender chunks of pork, and reminds me of gumbo.

I typically order a side of Spanish rice to go with my RC Green Chile. I also dunk my tater tots in there if I’m feeling snacky.

And the portion is huge! For $9, you can get a bowl that can be split between two.

Visit Cherry Cricket locations in Cherry Creek, Ballpark, or Littleton.

#9 Chao Long from Pho Duy

We came for pho but discovered an amazing offal porridge!

Pho Duy‘s chao long (Vietnamese offal porridge) is amazing! The flavor is on point, and it’s SUPER comforting.

We recommend adding bean sprouts and lemon to brighten the dish. It’s also a perfect soup for when you are feeling sick.

#10 Army Stew (Budae Jjigae) from DaeBak

Army Stew or Budae Jjigae is an amazing Korean stew that is meant to be shared. It’s filled with a broth, kimchi, tofu, dumplings, SPAM, rice cakes, and hot dogs.

At DaeBak, their army stew is made with a rich bone broth that is cooked for hours. It gives their soups depth of flavor. The portions at DaeBak are huge and very comforting to eat around a table with friends.

And did you know that DaeBak translates to excellent?

Address: 2648 S Parker Rd Unit 11, Aurora, CO 80014

#11 Cacio e Pepe Ramen from Dumplin’

Dumplin’ is a fusion Japanese and Italian restaurant. We were skeptical at first, but Frank Bonnano has proved that he knows his flavor combinations!

The Cacio e Pepe ramen is made with a rich and peppery broth. The noodles are made fresh, and you’ll want to save every last drop.

We also recommend their crudo, caprese salad with soy vinaigrette, and the variety of dumplings they produce. We love ordering their shrimp scampi dumplings with a shot of sake. It’s chef’s kiss!

#12 Birria Ramen from Kike’s Red Tacos

We LOVE the birria ramen at Kike’s Red Tacos!

Kike’s started as a food truck and now has a permanent location in LoHi. You have to order their ramen and taco combo. Dip every taco into their rich broth and prepare to be amazed! It’s so flavorful, and the ramen texture is perfect.

Their sauce bar is also very impressive! I would eat here every day if I could.

Address: 1200 W 38th Ave, Denver, CO 80211

#13 French Onion Soup from Wild Corgi Pub

The French onion soup at Wild Corgi Pub is so good! They also offer excellent pub food in a corgi-themed bar.

Sorry, dogs aren’t allowed since they have a kitchen onsite.

Address: 1223 E 13th Ave, Denver, CO 80218

#14 Braised Beef Noodle Soup from Nana’s Dim Sum (Central Park location)

I am obsessed with braised beef noodle soup. Nana’s Dim Sum handpulls their noodles and serves them in a flavorful broth with veggies and tender slices of braised beef.

I recommend asking for a side of black vinegar to add some acidity to the soup. It’s super comforting and almost tastes like the Din Tai Fung version.

This is my review for the Central Park location only. I tried the noodles at another location, and it was not the same in quality or flavor.

#15 Matzo Ball Soup from Zaidy’s Deli & Bakery

I always crave Matzo ball soup wherever I go. Zaidy’s Deli and Bakery has an excellent Matzo ball soup that can also be purchased in their deli.

I have fond memories of eating Matzo ball soup with my choir teacher, Matt Gray. He introduced me to so many cultural things and really showed me that the world was much bigger than me. Not sure where he is nowadays, but I hope he is doing well.

#16 Khao Soi and Tom Yum Noodles from Lucky’s Noodles

Ploy relocated her Thai eatery to South Broadway, and we could not be happier!

Her Tom Yum noodle soup is so good! We also love her Khao Soi! She blends her grandma’s recipes to create her own offerings in her cutesy restaurant. We are obsessed with everything at Lucky Noodles!

OneFold is a popular Asian fusion brunch spot located downtown. It’s great for many things! One of them is their confit duck congee.

The broth is so comforting and flavorful. We also love their protein bowls with a side of green chile to smother.

The avgolemono from Chef’s Zorba’s is sooo good, refreshing, and comforting.

It’s a lemon soup with chicken and rice. Something I can eat every day, and at any time of the year.

Address: 2626 E 12th Ave, Denver, CO 80206

#19 Zuppa Toscana from Olive Garden

There’s just something nostalgic and comforting knowing that Olive Garden will never get rid of their AYCE salad and soup lunch deal. It’s one of my favorite soups, even though it has NO CONNECTION to Italy.

I add 2 lemon wedges to each bowl, and it’s heaven for me.

@ilovebowljobs Delulu until it’s true true. 👸🏽🇮🇹🏰 @King Soopers or @Olive Garden ♬ original sound – Damian – Quote Theory #DQT
