#1 Paldo Jjajangmen Black Bean Sauce Instant Noodles
I am obsessed with Paldo’s Jjajangmen! It tastes better than the real deal and comes in easy-to-prep packages.
I typically add some stir-fried onions, zucchini, and carrots.

#2 Vifon
Vifon is one of my FAVORITES! They have a great variety of Vietnamese noodle soup types. They even have fish porridge (Cháo Cá).
#3 Mama
Mama is a classic for many Asians growing up. Love the thin noodles, and the Tom Yum soup is tangy and satisfying.
I like to add veggies, an egg, and frozen shrimp. Makes it taste like REAL tom yum noodles.
#4 Hào Hào
Hào Hào’s SaTé Hành Tím (purple onion) is the GOAT. I love eating it with some veggies and chili oil. So good!
They do contain lead, though, but I’m here for a good time, not a long time.
#5 Indomie Mi Goreng
Indomie Mi Goreng is another GOAT. Love their dry noodles so much! Add a fried egg on top, and it’s heaven. They are flavor-packed and so easy to make.
I love having these for when I want a snack, but soup is not the move.
#6 Nongshim Bowl Noodle – Kimchi Flavor
They aren’t the best, but the kimchi flavor always hits. Add kimchi and it’s perfection!
#7 Nissin Hot & Spicy
Nissin is bussin’. They’re always affordable (under $2). Add some lime and it’s perfection as a midnight snack. *chef’s kiss*
#8 Snapdragon Pho
Love these when I’m craving pho but don’t want to go out or cook it myself. I add protein, veggies, hot sauce, and lime to complete the bowl. I typically get my Snapdragon at Costco or Amazon.
It’s not the best, but it tastes good.
#9 Paldo Gomtang
DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS ONE!!!!
I am obsessed with Gomtang. It’s a bone broth noodle soup that is so comforting. The flavors are FIRE! I like to add rice to my remaining broth to make a tasty porridge.
Add some toasted seaweed and it’s perfection.
To Be Tasted (TBT)
Here are noodles that I will eventually taste!
- Jin – Don’t know much about this brand.
- Kuan Thick Spicy Chili Oil Noodles
Do Not Recommend (DNR)
And here are noodles that I do not recommend.
- Buldak Noodles – Might be controversial, but I do not enjoy Buldak at all. It’s way too salty, and the caloric value is off the charts. No bueno.
- Chapagetti – This is SO BAD in quality and flavor. You’re better off ordering Paldo’s Jjajangmen. Trust me.
- Momofuku – Celebrity chef David Chang’s noodles are terrible. Lacks flavor, and there is way too little sauce for the amount of noodles they give. Avoid at all costs. Also, they are expensive.
- Shin – Shin is flavorless, and the noodles are way too chewy. I bought an entire bag and only ate one package. Waste of money.
- Top Ramen – These are SO GROSS! Yes, they are cheap (like 50 cents a bag), but there are so many other, better options. Don’t sacrifice your taste buds for this crap.
